Kicking off the month-long “Les Paul Centennial,” Conrad Oberg, blind Rock/Blues phenom (and his band,) makes his much-anticipated return to New York City’s legendary Iridium Club on Monday, June 1st! 

Blind from birth, Conrad taught himself to play piano at age two, and by the time he was four could play anything he heard, and was performing live. At 10, Conrad recorded his first album at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, backed by Jerry Lee Lewis’ band, was given his first guitar, and began headlining rock & blues festivals and clubs throughout the United States. Conrad was chosen as the most talented teen musician in the country in 2008 by 12 million Cartoon Network viewers, and was featured on their show “Props!” along with Robert Randolph. In 2009 at 15, Conrad who taught himself to play electric guitar by listening to Jimi Hendrix albums, was chosen to open the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock in front of an audience of 35,000 at the site of the original 1969 festival.

In addition to his live performances, Conrad been featured by CNN, USA Today, Rolling Stone, NPR, Premiere Guitar Magazine, and hundreds of other international media outlets.  Conrad, who has nearly 4 million viewers on YouTube, has performed with acts as varied as: Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Dumpstaphunk, The Meters, Lettuce, Hubert Sumlin, Doc Watson, Buddy Guy, Levon Helm, Canned Heat, Jefferson Starship, Mountain, and many other legends of the rock, and blues music world.
