With a twist of French, latin grooves and bluesy notes, Myriam Phiro will render the American and International Jazz & Pop standards that inspired her the most along her personal journey, and will accompany each song with a closer look into her fascinating worlds as an actress, vocalist & dancer. The evening will unveil the songs from her new album, “Voyages”, and will feature an all-star band:

Acclaimed for her clear-silky voice, impressive range and unique renditions of classic masterpieces of Jazz and French chanson, Myriam Phiro reveals a myriad of diverse artistic endeavors.
This Canadian born songstress is only at the beginning of her singing career and already has had the opportunity to perform at New York’s most famous musical and theatrical venues such as, The Rainbow Room, The Cutting Room, The Four Seasons, and the Metropolitan Room to name a few. Gaining popularity on the international scene, she has been invited to perform during the Montreux and Montreal international jazz festivals this past summer. With the recent success of her show, “Edith Piaf at 100” Myriam is earning her a reputation in NYC’s Cabaret scene as a director as well as a performer.
Trained for the stage, Myriam studied acting, dance & music at New York’s AMDA Conservatory Of Performing Arts and received vocal coaching by Bill Zeffiro, Holli Legget, Robert Vest as well as a classical training at Vincent d’Indy Music School in her native Quebec. In the studio she has worked as a back up vocalist, vocal harmony arranger and even had the honor to sing a duet with her vocal hero Janis Siegal of the Manhattan Transfer. Myriam also directed and starred in two music videos that will accompany her latest musical album.
On October 6th, Myriam will perform at the world famous Iridium Jazz Club celebrating her first full length album as a leader. “Voyages” showcases her work with top NY-based musicians and reflects a variety of her influences through beloved American and International Jazz and Pop standards. In the past few years she has traveled to 6 countries working as an actress, singer and dancer which developed her repertoire, stage presence and mature musical sense.
