The Adam Levowitz Orchestra is a collection of vocalists and musicians from Washington D.C. and New York City. Adam Levowitz, the orchestra’s director and keyboard player, writes all the musical arrangements specifically for the production of the ongoing Live In Concert Series, featuring a high-energy show comprised of some of the east coast’s finest musicians.
The series premiered in January 2016 in New York City’s alphabet city and quickly moved uptown to Times Square’s B.B. King’s Blues Club & Grill.
It has since hosted two separate engagements of “The Quentin Tarantino Songbook, Vol. 1: Music from Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown” at The Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. and a private show at The State Theatre in Northern Virginia.
Adam B. Levowitz has more than 30 years experience as a composer, producer, music director and arranger whose works and productions have been performed all over the world. Currently, he is producing the revival of Stop the World, I Want to Get Off – the 1961 musical by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Levowitz is also co-producer for Somewhere in Time and has been involved with Penn & Teller On Broadway, It’s Only A Play, Rocky, Flashdance – National Tour and Godspell. Before coming to New York, he served as the Artistic and Music Director for the Katy Performing Arts Society – an all-professional non-profit arts organization outside Houston, TX. He is proud to have served in uniform as the chief arranger for the 257 Army Band “The Band of the Nation’s Capital” in Washington, D.C. where he had the great honor of writing words and music to “The Home of Warrior Care” which was adopted as the official march of The Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
