“Mightily impressive and hugely original… the cool end of Americana” – MAVERICK MAGAZINE,UK

The Slambovian Circus of Dreams is bringing their brand of rootsy psychedelica to The Iridium in a show presented by The Roots Agency for the 2016 APAP Conference. (Association of Performing Arts Presenters)

Formed in Sleepy Hollow, New York, more than a decade ago. the Slambovians are pioneers of the alt-folk/americana genre. The NY TIMES says of the Slambovians, “Their songs are imbued with mystical stirrings and idealism… they take the stage by storm!”. Creative visionaries, they present not only quirky Americana and Zen-like anthems, but a universe entirely of their own making. Likened to an array of artists including the Waterboys, Jethro Tull, The Decemberists, a quirkier Tom Petty – their “dusty Americana ballads” evoke Dylan, Cracker, or the Wallflowers. The band’s 6th studio release, “A Very Unusual Head”, is due out June of 2016. This band takes no prisoners – Joziah Longo’s bigger-than-life presence and signature voice, Sharkey McEwen’s deft slidework on both mandolin and electric guitar, and Tink Lloyd’s arsenal of instruments in her corner draws you in … They charm from the first note with thought provoking lyrics and a vibe that feeds the soul. Of note: new Slambovian drummer Felipe Torres (Carmine Appice – “Slam”) will be making his New York debut with the band at this performance!

“They’re not just a band, that’s like saying the Bible is just a book…” – Fairfield County Weekly

“Great songs and a whole lotta heart!” – Meg Griffin, SiriusXM

“This band is the best I’ve heard since the Beatles!” – Jim Pons, The Mothers of Invention, The Turtles

“The Hudson River Valley’s best kept secret.”-

“Joziah is an awesome songwriter!” – Garth Hudson, The Band
