BIOGRAPHY

The Englishtown Project is a tribute band that recreates the legendary September 3, 1977, concert at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey, where over 100,000 fans gathered to experience performances by the Grateful Dead, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Founded by guitarist and vocalist Michael Falzarano, known for his work with Hot Tuna and New Riders of the Purple Sage, the band brings together seasoned musicians from the jam band scene to honor this historic event.

The lineup includes Tom Circosta (guitar/vocals) and Klyph Black (bass/vocals) from the Zen Tricksters, Kevin Griffin (pedal steel/guitar/vocals) from Space Bandits, Russell Stedman (drums) from the Jeff Mattson Band, and New York City-based vocalist Clare Maloney, praised for her versatile voice. Each performance features a rotating cast of master keyboardists, such as Mookie Siegel (Phil & Friends) and Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh Family Band). The Englishtown Project delivers authentic renditions of songs from all three bands, offering audiences a nostalgic journey through a pivotal moment in rock history.
